Play American 8-ball, Chinese 8-ball, 9-ball or 10-ball. English pages default to American 8-ball; change the game in the Rules selector. The ruleset determines legal contact, ball in hand and winning shots. The play mode determines who takes part and how you connect.
Choose How to Play
Against AI
Runs on your device. Choose difficulty and who breaks.
Local Two-Player
Share one device and take turns. No room needed.
Online Multiplayer
Use separate devices in a public or private room.
Public rooms appear in the lobby for visitors to join. Private rooms are unlisted and shared by invite. When both seats are taken, visitors can watch. The lobby lets you choose a room; it is not automatic matchmaking.
AI difficulty is a calculation setting, not a player rating. There are no ranks, points leaderboards or account-based social features.
Four Games, One Set of Rulings Per Game
8-ball assigns solids and stripes and finishes on the 8. In 9-ball and 10-ball, hit the lowest ball first and legally pocket the winning ball. A selected ruleset uses the same rulings in AI, local and online play.
Some site conventions differ from tournaments, including the 8 on the break, the American same-shot finish and call-shot requirements in 10-ball. See the rules page for the conditions; use the venue or event rules when playing elsewhere.
Shot Logs, Saves and Temporary Rooms
Saved AI and local positions, shot logs and some interface settings stay in the current browser. Restore saved progress when the browser allows site storage. It does not sync across devices or browsers; clearing site data removes local saves.
Copy the shot log to keep pot, foul and turn results. There is no Undo control or shot-by-shot replay, and the log cannot restore earlier positions. Center ball resets the strike point; New game reracks and clears the current log.
Online rooms use a server to sync play, while the browser retains room and seat-recovery identifiers. These are not accounts. A closed or expired room is not a permanent game archive. Returning to a seat depends on a valid room and retained recovery credentials.
No sign-up does not mean no data processing. The privacy policy explains browser storage, online rooms, analytics, technical requests and support email.

For a disputed ruling, include the game, first-contact ball, pocketed balls and whether the cue ball scratched. For connection or display issues, include a page URL with credentials removed, your device, browser and steps. A shot log or redacted screenshot helps establish the game state.
